| Below, you will find answers to commonly asked questions regarding the Employment Advantage Program. HOW TO LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM? The program is self paced. With average English reading skills and by applying yourself every day, you can finish it the Employment Advantage Program in just a few days. You do however have three months to complete the program in case you have other commitments. This program is very user friendly so you will able to easily find your way back to where you left off when you log on each time. You need JavaScript enabled to view it HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST? The program is available to schools for $45 per student with a minimum of 20 students. Alternatively, schools can buy a 200 student access licence for $1900. Both options are valid for one school year and all logins expire at the end of each school year. Any unused logins will no longer be valid unless prior arrangements have been made with the Employment Advantage team. If you wish to enrol in the Employment Advantage program as an individual the fee is AU$120.00. WHAT DO I GET FOR THE MONEY I PAY? You will have a complete understanding of how to identify appropriate employment for your personal skill set, where to look for those jobs and how to apply for them appropriately with a high probability of gaining an interview. When you attend an interview you will know how to ‘think like an employer’ and give yourself the best possible opportunity for success. You will also understand how the behavioural assessment process works and how to recognise a behavioural question and how to answer it. You will be able to download a resume outline, letter of application, a letter of introduction and lists of words and phrases that you can use again and again. You will also receive a list of websites that will assist you in your search for work. You will also have access to an experienced Image Power Mentor that will assist you with any troubles you may be experiencing. If you are a West Australian Secondary School student, you can also apply to the Curriculum Council of Western Australia for 3 points on the WA Certificate of Education. WHAT DO I GET WHEN I FINISH THE PROGRAM? After completing the program you will receive a uniquely numbered Nationally Accredited certificate with your name on it, a sample of a letter of introduction and a letter of application. You will also receive a resume outline with lists and phrases that you can use to individualise your personal resume. During the program you will have access to our friendly help desk and mentors if you do not understand anything in the program. The Employment Advantage is available in a face-to-face version and is delivered personally by Natalia Josephs. On the side navigation panel, there is a link to a summary page. Click on this and you will clearly see any tests or questionnaires that you have not completed or passed. You must click on these and finish them before you can download your certificate or resume outline and letters. |
